1Georges Teyssot a enseigné l’histoire et la théorie de l’architecture à l’IUAV (Venise, Italie) ; et à l’École d’Architecture de l’Université de Princeton (USA), où il dirigera le programme de doctorat en architecture (1994-2000). Actuellement, il est professeur d’architecture à l’École d’Architecture de l’Université Laval de Québec (QC, Canada). De Février à Mai 2009, il sera Visiting Professor au GTA (Institut de Théorie et d’Histoire) dans le Département d’Architecture de l’ETH (École polytechnique) à Zurich (Suisse). Il est l’auteur de l’ouvrage collectif, Histoire des Jardins. De la Renaissance à nos jours, en collaboration avec Monique Mosser (Milan, 1990; Paris, 1991, rééd. 2002; Londres /New York, 2000; etc.). Il publie l’introduction au volume de: Elizabeth Diller et Ricardo Scofidio, Flesh: Architectural Probes (New York, 1995). Commissaire, avec Diller + Scofidio, d’une exposition sur: Surface du quotidien. La pelouse américaine, au CCA (Montréal, 1998), il est l’auteur de l’ouvrage sur The American Lawn (New York, 1999).
